Entrepreneur
I have spent 28 years founding and leading natural resource companies across Peru and Latin America. My first venture, Compañía Minera Moria, was brought from bankruptcy to financial stability during one of the worst metals downcycles on record. Since then I have founded or co-founded Pure Biofuels Corp, Southern Peaks Mining, Stellar Mining Peru, Vicuñita Minerals, Mochica Resources, and Calipuy Resources. The common thread is identifying undervalued assets, structuring the capital to develop them, and assembling the operating teams to bring them into production.

Mining Operator
At Stellar Mining Peru, the company I founded in 2011, I led the acquisition and consolidation of the Toropunto mining district and the development and commissioning of the Piedra Imán and Santa Rosa mines. I currently serve as President and CEO of Titiminas Silver, where we are advancing the Madre Sierra high-grade silver project in central Peru toward redrilling, resource expansion, and production. Operating in Peru means understanding geology, permitting, community relations, and financing as one continuous problem rather than four separate ones.

Energy Pioneer
In 2006 I co-founded Pure Biofuels Corp and served as its CEO, where we built the largest biodiesel refinery on the west coast of Latin America and the second-largest liquid fuel terminal in Peru. The company is now part of Valero Energy, a Fortune 500 refiner. The work taught me how to scale heavy industrial assets in emerging markets with the discipline that public-market capital demands.

I sit on the boards of several natural resource and investment companies, including roles as Chairman of Mochica Resources, Chairman of Toropunto Silver, Independent Director at DGL Investments No. 1, and President and Director of Olympic Precious Metals. I invest where I can also contribute operational and capital-markets experience, particularly in early-stage exploration and development plays in the Americas.
